This is the third year we have had Captain Dan Tastic and Emily (Em Mazing mermaid) and they are completely brilliant. I really can't recommend then highly enough. We have never gone to anyone else because I've never seen any one else as good. We have had pirate parties, Harry Potter parties and star wars parties and each has been equally brilliant and imaginative. The kids were completely engaged and fully entertained for the whole party. Not only are they brilliant at what they do, they are quite simply, genuinely lovely people. Our twins absolutely adore them!

We have had dan for two parties now. Last weekend he did a Star Wars party with his sidekick Emily for our 6 year old. He entertained the kids for an hour and a half with fantastic, engaging and amusing tricks, stories and activities. They all loved the different elements of the story which were executed with enthusiasm and pazazz! They had really clever tricks which wowed the kids (and the adults!) A number of parents told me how much they had enjoyed the show and that him and Em were the best entertainers they had seen over lots and lots of parties. We couldn’t rate them highly enough!

Captain Dan Tastic was FANTASTIC! We found his party entertainment for our 5-year-old daughter to be first class. It was the talk of both the kids at school and also received rave reviews on the parents' WhatsApp group! From beginning to end, this was a fun character performance that had the kids eating out of his hand and the parents' phones stayed firmly in their pockets as they couldn't help but thoroughly enjoy the show (Facebook could wait). The entertainment was well-written, well-performed, educational by stealth and edgy so as not to be banal yet completely age appropriate.

We also loved the inclusivity, the nod towards gender equality - good man - and a generally wholesome ethos to the show. Dan has a great costume, the accent suits the persona, the props are wide-ranging, interactive and fab (and the tricks had us all a little baffled). It was a genuine delight to see him chasing a fleeing mob of 5-year-olds in the shark suit, with genuine child-like terror simultaneously coupled with faces of absolute glee (a fine balance to strike). Definitely opt for the fuller packages if you can as the start to finish entertainment meant that us as parents/organisers could simply sort the food and let everything else run as planned; we even got to talk to each other. The preceding notes Dan sent about the nuances of planning and putting on a kids party were thorough, a huge help and the mark of a man who really knows his audience. As one mum put it "That was awesome but thanks for nothing in setting the bar so high we'll now struggle to match it" (erm, book Dan again in one of his other guises, obviously!)

Captain Dan Tastic came along to our Street Party in September. I had booked him after a friend highly recommended him. I looked at his video on Facebook and thought.... "he's ace!". It's funny as I had no doubt at all he would live up to his reputation. He was just brilliant from start to finish. He had them as soon as he blew his 'shell horn'. A lot of the parents gathered around as well to watch as he was entertaining for everybody! We are definitely going to book him again for our next years street party. The brilliant thing about Captain Dan is that he has so many different themes to choose from. I can't wait to see him in action again. 10/10 Fabulous, amazing, book him you won't be disappointed. From contacting Captain Dan to the day of the party the whole experience was amazing!

Captain Dan put us in the Captains log, we paid our deposit and patiently waited for his Ship to sail into port. I wanted an entertainer who would keep all the children engaged while appreciating that our little girl at times may not take part. Our little girl has autism and does get overwhelmed quite easily. So likes to take herself away. There was no pressure for her to be the centre of attention or be involved if she didn't want to be. When it was time for happy birthday she cried and refused to blow out her candles so Captain Dan Tastic got all the children blew them out for her. I can honestly say the children as well as the adults loved our party. There was lots of squeals and laughter and no one was left out. I've received lots of messages after the party to say how incredible it was. I ordered some sword balloons that were given out at the end and Dan even provided extra incase any got broken. My husband watched the whole show with the biggest smile ever and would now like an excuse to do one for adults only including lots of grog. Can not recommend Dan enough worth every penny and then some!

We booked Captain Dan as the entertainment at my son William’s pirate birthday party yesterday. I am probably going to say much of what has been said before in previous reviews....he was FANTASTIC. He kept 45 children entertained for two hours solid. Even those slightly older party guests (aged 8/9+) soon dropped the “too cool for a five years olds party games” front and couldn’t help but join in the fun. So many parents made a point of coming over to thank us for inviting their child to the party and to comment on how brilliant they thought the entertainment was. I’ve had texts since the party saying similar too. Dan really made William feel special by picking him out to help with tricks and games. He also gave William an engraved little treasure chest with a pirate bracelet and ring inside as a gift - this was a lovely touch. All in all, my husband and I were absolutely thrilled with how the party went. Thank you captain Dan....you’ll be hearing from us again next year as both William and Isla-Rose are already planning a joint party with you as the entertainment!

I cannot recommend Captain Dan highly enough. When my son said he wanted a pirate magician for his birthday party, I was unsure if I could delivery until I came across Captain Dan. I was a bit worried how engaged 30 3 year olds would be for an hour though I shouldn't have worried at all. All the children stayed entertained for the whole hour and didn't want it to stop. My son came to me and my husband on different occasions throughout the party thanking us and saying how much he was enjoying it. It melted our hearts seeing how much he was smiling and having fun. Dan was fantastic with the children and altered the show to align with their age. When it was the dress up part of the show my son didn't want to wear some of the items and Dan just made a joke of it and went with what he wanted. It was a truly great party and even all of the parents enjoyed themselves and have said it was the best party! I cannot wait to use Dan again in the future for one of his other acts - I hope my other son likes pirates too!!

I just want to say thank you so much for the most amazing party for Oscar's 4th birthday! When I booked you to entertain him and his 20 friends I knew it would be a fab party but It completely exceeded all of our expectations. Not only did you thoroughly entertain the kids, keep them glued to their seats, make them laugh, squeal and scream but you also entertained the adults and looked like you were actually having a ball yourself! The kids watched in awe at meeting a 'real life pirate' and the whole show was action packed from beginning to end. Oscar had the time of his life and will remember his party for a very long time, thank you so much for the fab gift, he loves his treasure chest especially as it is signed by a pirate! For anyone looking for an entertainer with a difference who will wow the kids and the adults, Dan is definitely your man!

We booked Captain Dan Tastic after our son announced he wanted a pirate party for his 5th birthday and a friend highly recommended him. Booking was easy and he arrived on time and with lots of gear to keep the kids entertained. We had invited 30 kids age 5-7 years and Captain Dan kept them all entertained with lots of games, tricks and activities. He had them all engaged and eating up his every word. The parents are all stood around watching in amazement as well, so funny! We didn't see Harry for the whole party and ever since he's not stopped talking about the magic tricks and the "nice pirate". Quite a few kids have also asked for a pirate party which must mean it was good. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants a fuss free, amazing party which any child would love. Hoping we can do the secret agent next year it looks fab!

Wow! Just wow! What an absolutely first class entertainer. My daughter had her 6th birthday party on Saturday and we hired Captain Dan Tastic and he was amazing, all the parents were raving about it this morning on the school run saying how brilliant he was with one hailing it was the best birthday party her child had ever been too. My daughter is Autistic and 95% of the children at the party had additional needs and Captain Dan was amazing with them. It was fast paced and exciting and engaging and the children and adults all loved it. One of the Mums had already preempted me saying she didn't think her son would stay the duration and may have to leave early with him... he stayed the full 2hrs! Another Mum was in actual tears of happiness because her son was for the first time joining in and taking part. I can't recommend Captain Dan enough, he really was amazing. Thank you so much for making my little girls day and making the day of so many other children and parents.

Captain Dan Tastic came to help celebrate my little boy and his friend's 6th birthday party last week. He entertained the whole year 1 class, plus a few siblings for a full 2 hours.
Captain Dan Tastic was the most authentic, stand out and genuinely funniest children's entertainer we have ever seen (and I have 4 children; we've put a lot of party hours in over the years!).
From the moment of booking to the goodbyes at the end of the party, we experienced a professional, helpful and fun service. His adaptation of the character he takes on is witty and enchanting for the children. He is literally on a different league to all other entertainers. We would hire him again in a flash and the children have already asked if he can come to their party next year!

Captain Dan Tastic was the perfect entertainer for our joint birthday party this weekend for two 5 year old boys. There were around 50 children at the party, both boys and girls, ranging in age from 3 to 10. He managed to keep every single one of them fully entertained throughout and won over the older 'too cool for school' siblings really quickly!! Feedback from all the parents has been incredibly positive with many saying that Captain Dan Tastic was the best children's party entertainer they have seen. I was thrilled to find out that he offers other themes for parties and will definitely be hiring him again in the future!!!

We booked Captain Dan Tastic & Em-Mazing the Mermaid for our son's 5th birthday party and they definitely live up to their legend. They entertained 50+ children of various ages for 2 hours solid and managed to keep their attention the whole time. The children had a fantastic time being taken on a pirate adventure of singing, dancing, magic and silly shenanigans. And with his dry sense of humour the Captain even managed to get the parents giggling too.

We were slightly worried as our little boy is not the most confident in big groups, but Dan made him feel really special without putting too much pressure on him to perform. To see our son enjoy being the centre of attention was fantastic and that was all down to Dan and his natural rapport with the children.

Em-Mazing was a wonderful addition, with her beautiful face painting for which both the girls and boys were queuing.

We will be booking both Dan and Emily again for his 6th birthday - the only problem is which of their fabulous characters we are going to invite next!

Jacob had an amazing 7th birthday party with Captain Dan Tastic. My son is a wheelchair user and was fully involved in the fast paced, exciting party. All of the children and parents loved the party. Jacob still talks about the hilarious crocodile that kept popping out of the parachute. His sister loved the game with the water pistol - lots of fun and excitement for everyone young and old. Thanks for the best party Jacob has had and thank you for his special treasure chest gift - he loved opening it and seeing the treasure inside. Thanks again!

We hired Captain Dan Tastic to entertain the children at our wedding during the speeches on 12th Nov 2016.
Captain Dan did a brilliant job & even had many of the adults partying in the children's party room, including myself (the bride).
Dan was nothing but professional throughout the whole process & we would have no problem recommending his services to others.
The children (&adults) all had a great time, thanks to Dan's energy, enthusiasm & topical jokes.

Captain Dan was fantastic!! He entertained 10 kids mostly aged 4 in a very small space. Ruby was the star of the show, but all kids took part and they loved it, even the quiet ones. The adults were hooked too (excuse the pun). Captain Dan is very charming and funny as well as a complete professional. Even my cat knocking over his pirate ship couldn't phase him!  I can't recommend him enough, worth every penny. We will definitely be asking the Captain to visit again. Thank you Daniel for a wonderful show and making Ruby's birthday so very magical.

I booked Captain Dan Tastic for my sons 5th birthday party and I cannot recommend him highly enough. It was none stop, action packed for 2 hours. The kids were mesmerised by him, all 40 of them! They are still talking about him now at school, three weeks on and so are the parents. He is completely original and unique and made my birthday boy feel extra special at his party. I will definitely be using him again. He was absolutely brilliant.

I booked Captain Dantastic for my sons 5th birthday party. Dan made everything so easy from the moment I got in touch about dated for the party. He was a fantastic entertainer and kept my son and his friends entertained with magic, fire tricks and pirate fun for 1 hour. He made my son feel very special on his birthday and I would highly recommend him! The parents, staff at the venue and the children all enjoyed the party and my son treasures the gift he received off Captain Dan Tastic. I would definitely book him again!!

We booked Captain Dan Tastic and Em-Mazing the Mermaid for our youngest son's 5th pirate themed birthday party and they were both brilliant! 40 kids (aged between 1-10) were kept thoroughly entertained by Dan's mad antics, fun games and imaginative activities. Em-Mazing's face painting was very detailed and beautifully done, all the kids loved her creative designs. With 3 kids of my own I have seen many entertainers over the years and Dan is by far the best - he has a great rapport with kids of all ages. We were so impressed that we have booked both Dan and Em again for our soon to be 7 year old son's Star Wars party which the whole family is looking forward to!

If you want a fantastic party where the children are genuinely entertained for the whole time he is there and have a brilliant time then Captain Dan Tastic is your man. I saw him at a friend's party and was wow'd that I booked him for my son's party. The children and parents alike had such fun as did my son. I cannot recommend him enough. And to top it off, he seems like a really nice guy. Its fair to say, I'm a fan.. and will no doubt work through the other great themes he has over time as I will definitely be booking him again!

Captain Dan tastic is fantastic, parents and children were enthralled and captivated for every second he was here! Our son still speaks about it a month after his 4th birthday and has dressed as a pirate every day since! I couldn't recommend him enough, he made Clem's birthday a truly memorable and special occasion!

We hired Captain Dan's twin brother the Jedi master Dan Tass for a Star Wars party for my 5 year old. The party was fantastic, he and his padawan E-Maze were fantastic with all the children, getting them all involved with a range of activities & games. I would highly recommend Captain Dan Tastic for all your party needs. 5 Stars & Two thumbs up!

The best entertainer I've seen!!! We had Captain Dan Tastic for my son's 5th birthday pirate party. From the moment he walked through the door he made a big impression on my little boy. He introduced himself and made everyone feel at ease. I was worried that some children may be scared of him but the whole class were on board with all of his tricks, games and fun. The parents who came all said that they thought he was brilliant and took his leaflets for their own children. I was completely mesmerized throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the party myself too! As soon as Captain Dan said they should go to eat their food my son asked if he could have Dan again next year!!! I think we'll be booking him in again! Thanks Dan for a fantastic party!
